TIRANA, May 15 – A bridge between the two shores of the Adriatic and a link that helps the development of an ongoing dialogue through art to a collective and shared cultural practice. This is the message of the Post Young Albanian Artists exhibition which has opened at the Fondazione Museo Pino Pascali in Bari. The exhibition which will remain open until June 15 is a collaboration project between the Foundation Pino Pascali and the National Gallery of Arts in Tirana with the support of the Region of Puglia, the Ministry of Culture of Albania and the Gramsci Foundation of Bari.
The exhibition curated by Antonio Frugis and Roberto Lacarbonara presents a selection of works of eight young Albanian artists – Dani Endri, Yllka Gjollesha, Olson Lame, Armando Lulaj, Najada Mehmetaj, Remijon Pronja, Alketa Ramaj and Enkelejd Zonja – many of whom have studied and lived abroad but are willing to contribute to the cultural rebirth of their country, expressing a plurality of languages and a desire for modernity and internationality.
