‘100th anniversary of independence’

TIRANA, Nov. 14 – Rare objects, such as flags, seals, photos, publications, are being displayed at “100th Anniversary of Independence” exhibition which opened this week at the National History Museum. Luan Malltezi, the museum’s director, said that the exhibition “displays materials of extraordinary importance, gathered from passionate collectors from all over Albania.” The exhibition comprises around 25 national flags, dating back to the year 1905 until 1944, photos of patriots and patriotic associations, among which a photo of Ismail Qemali of the year 1900, not published before. After displaying in Tirana from November 13 to 17 the exhibition will also travel to Prishtina and Prizren to conclude its tour in independence town Vlora from Nov. 24 to 28.
