An exhibition by Albanian photographer Soela Zani entitled ‘I am a work of art’ is also a part of the project and will be showcased in four Albanian cities: Shkodra, Korca, Durres and Saranda where it will stay open for one week in each city.
Nika’s exhibition was first opened in the beginning of March in her hometown Bulqize to promote her talent.“I am proud and happy. I had never thought my daughter would go this far,” Irma Nika’s father said. The exhibition has already attracted the attention of international media including the Daily Mail, People, Vanity Fair, etc.
Pictures taken during trips, which are also part of the project, will be published in a catalog to document the many talents and capabilities of young people with Down syndrome in Albania.
