Coming for the first time, as one-of-a-kind event, the 48hr Film Project will take place from Friday, Nov. 24th, to Sunday, Nov. 26th, and it will consist of two sleepless day during which registered teams will try to make a film from scratch – write, shoot, stitch and hand it over on Monday morning, when the clock strikes 48hrs.
The genre of each team’s movie will be decided on the spot during Friday, the day that will kick-start the activity. During Friday evening, organizers of the events will also give out directives on some of the features that each movie should have, such as the names and professions of the characters, a prop and a dialogue line. The prizes that will be awarded for the winners of the competition will be decided by a specifically established jury.
Moreover, the first and second place winners will be able to submit their short movies to the FilmaPalooza, in the US, where other short movies from all over the world will be competing.
