TIRANA, Dec. 12 – Culture Minsiter from Albania, Kosova and Serbia met Tuesday in Tirana to discuss about the collaboration among their countries, the return of the ancient objects from Serbia to Kosova, rehabilitation of the cult objects in Kosova after their destruction in 1999 and other topics. They agreed to start the return of the lost objects next year. Albania’s Bujar Leskaj, Kosova’s Astrit Haracija and Serbia’s Dragan Kojadinovic were joined with experts of UNMIK and their countries. They stressed that without a deep cultural integration among the countries in the region there would be no integration into the European Union. “Culture should be the first to join us and then there comes the geographic nearness,” said Leskaj. “Albania, Kosova and Serbia has common traditions and a rich artistic inheritance.” Serb minister said that politics should not hamper experts for cultural cooperation. He added that man taboos of the three countries have already been broken. He also said that Belgrade had set a special part of the budget for the reconstruction of objects of culture in Kosova. More collaboration was agreed in the spheres of libraries, galleries and music activities between Albania and Kosova.
