Although the “World Press Photo” exhibition will still be open for another five days, it has already registered a record 2.500 visitors, unheard of in years. According to sources at the National Arts Gallery, the difference in attendance between this and other exhibitions is mind-boggling, beyond any comparison.
“World Press Photo” is an activity that opened on 16 December at the National Arts Gallery. It was organized in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Tirana, which created this opportunity for the first time in Albania. The Curator and manager of this exhibition, Jeroen Visser did an admirable job in opening the exhibition, which is in Albania after touring 55 different states,” writes a local newspaper.
The exhibition was also greeted by Alfred Moisiu, the President of Albania and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Tirana, the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Sweder van Voorst to Voorst. There are about 4,448 photographs taken in 122 countries of the world.
