Lezhja visits Europol in The Hague

TIRANA, Feb. 6 – Acting Interior Minister Gjergj Lezhja at the head of a police delegation made a two-day visit to The Hague, Netherlands where he also signed a strategic agreement with Europol. Europol top official Maks Peter Ratzel said that was an important step for the tiny Balkan country toward the integration into Europe. That will serve for a better cooperation in the fight against organized crime and terrorism influence in the Balkans. The agreement will serve a better cooperation between EU member countries’ Europol and Albania in discovering, investigation and prevention of world organized crime. The agreement is to be ratified. That agreement also asks for improvement of the Albanian legislation and the creation of a high-0security data base.
