TIRANA, Feb. 2 – Fighting drug trafficking has been turned into a top priority in the daily work of police forces. In Durres police arrested Monday Petrit Xhepa, 32, resident of Rubjeke village, in Maminas, after he was trying to traffic 17.4 kilograms of heroin into Italy. Xhepa had been sentenced from Italy for the same charge before. His former mate Shpetim Hushi had been arrested a week ago. The heroin was found at the vehicle they were trying to embark on a ferry. On Friday Police arrested Grigor Balushi, 45, while he was selling heroin to a drug addict. Another small amount of heroin was found at his apartment.
