TIRANA, Feb. 14 – Police reported that they have undertaken all the adequate steps to play their impartial role during the electoral campaign and on the voting day Sunday, according to the police department. All police forces are involved in the process with assistance of the international missions , the OSCE and the Central Election Commission. All police stations around the country have been advised on how to operate. Continuous advice will be sent to them. This week police denied an accusation by the opposition Socialist Party that they were involved in an electoral incident. Police have sent the list of all the policemen who are to stay at the polling stations. Police also accompanied all electoral materials from the port of Durres to Tirana handing them over to the CEC without any problems, according to a statement.
