Government helps families of secret police killed in 1997

TIRANA, Feb. 21 – The government decided to give an assistance of five million leks to each of the families of two secret policemen killed in 1997 during the unrest in southwestern port city of Vlora. It was just at the start of the violence after the fall of the pyramid investment schemes where the population lost its life savings. The two were blocked at their office in the city and died after clashing with a crowd.
