New ambassadors pass test of parliamentary commission

TIRANA, April 24 – New ambassadors for some key positions in Europe were approved by the parliament’s foreign commission. Mimoza Halimi, a new diplomat, was approved for the post of ambassador in Belgium and the European Union. Zef Mazi, former ambassador to OSCE in Vienna, was approved for the ambassador to Britain and Ireland. Artur Kuko, former ambassador to Brussels and a presidential candidate in 2002, was nominated as ambassador to the NATO headquarters. While Rezart Bregu, will be ambassador in Argentina, also covering Brazil, Ekuador, Chile, Columbia, Paraguay, peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Ambassadors have now to be voted by the parliament.
