TIRANA, May 14 – Police arrested a student policeman on Saturday for trying to smuggle 10 kilograms of cocaine from Brazil into Albania.
According to the police, two 26-year-old and 40-year-old student policemen were trying to retrieve two packages posted from Brazil.

Police had closed cooperation with Italian Guardia di Finanze from Varese City coordinating an operation code-named Butik. The two packages were posted from Brazil with the EMS post service passing transit through Italian airport of Malpensa in Milan, Italy.

Qinami was arrested after he had taken into his own hands the two packages, while an arrest warrant has been issued for Kola.

Fighting drug traffic is a police priority as the post-communist country serves as a transit point for drugs, mainly marijuana and heroin and more rarely cocaine.
