Violent acts concern police this week

TIRANA, May 31 – Violent acts, some involving murder, were the main concern for police forces this week.
On Monday, Shkelqim Riza Avdyli, 38, from Shijak gunned down Durim Kusi, 38, in the Kombinat quarter in Tirana suburbs. Avdyli killed Kusi for revenge, as Kusi had allegedly killed his brother 12 years ago.
Bulqiza police arrested Dashnor Veli Murati, 26, accused of strangling to death his spouse, Alma Qazim Murati, 25. Police also reported that the murder was committed in front of their children.
Albanian police arrested Lodovik Syziu, 30, from Mirdita, Tuesday at Mother Teresa international airport. Syziu was wanted for injury of another person.
On Monday police arrested Kreshnik Kurtsmajli, 27, from Tirana. He was charged with assisting another person who shot in the air and created obstacles to police forces while arresting the suspect.
Genc Logu, 36, Eduart Gje袪, 30, and Shk쭺en Gjo, 16, were arrested in Tirana for trying to steal a parked car.
Ilirjan Zeqiri, 27, was found drugged and despite hospitalization, died later.
