TIRANA, Aug 11 – Deans of the public faculties of various universities have complained to the Ministry of Education that they lack the space for increased number of students this year.

They have expressed their alarm after they learned of the increased quotas approved by the ministry, saying they urgently need more professors and more rooms to house them.

Rector Shezai Rrokaj has held intensive talks with the ministry but there is no news of progress.

This school year will have almost 16,000 students in the public universities.
