TIRANA, Sep. 15 – Denio Gjinali, 30, was arrested in Tirana, at 21 Dhjetori, when he was caught selling two grams of heroin to two persons. He told police he was supplied with heroin by a nurse working at the main hospital. Following that, police arrested Bledi Cela and found 12 grams of heroin he had hidden at his working place.
In another operation, police arrested Genti Hasanlliu, 34, a policeman working at the Rrogozhina prison when he was caught trying to take a knife and other items that will be checked, possibly drugs, inside the prison.
A much praised operation concluded when police arrested three persons who allegedly had 115 kilogram of drugs, which initially appeared to be false. The drugs were found to be paracetamol and caffeine.
But the arrested persons were still held because the two medical drugs were used in creating harder drugs.
Fatos Saliu, 34, was arrested after he was wanted for a series of crimes he had allegedly committed. Saliu was accused of murdering a policeman and was also wanted by Italian authorities who had sentenced him to different prison terms for drug trafficking and violent sexual crimes.
