TIRANA, Oct. 19 – The Economist Conferences will hold its second roundtable with the Albanian government at the end of the month.
The conference, to be held October 31, will convene leaders of big businesses in the country and also senior government officials to discuss the main economic and political issues affecting the country’s development.
They will discuss the creation of a favorable climate to business which began by lowering taxation to eliminating bureaucracy, preservation of macro-economic stability, achieving an optimal balance between credit norms, inflation and exchange rates, infrastructure and tourism issues and improving Albania’s image in the world, which is its trade mark.
Participants include top managers of corporation such as Richard Wadsworth of Bankers Petroleum, Claudio Viezzoli of EBRD, Simon Anholt, author of Nation Brands and City Brands Indexes, Ann Margret-Westin of the IMF, Steven Grunerud of Raiffeisen Bank Albania, Erhard Busek of the Stability pact, Michael Sigalas of Titan Cement Company, Sokol Nako of Wolf Theiss and Camille Nuamah of the World Bank in Albania.
