TIRANA, Oct. 20 – A World Bank funded project, in collaboration with local authorities, have begun the application of the Urban Land Management and Administration project which aims at improving land security, strengthening local authorities’ capacities and compiling a plan to tax land ownership. The project will aim to create an initial registration of half a million real estate property deeds within the next four years. Another goal of the project is to increase public awareness of land ownership.
