BARI, Dec. 8 – Last week, the Italian police arrested three Albanians who were suspected of transporting drugs from Albania. The arrested men were also found with two pistols.
The coastal oasis of Guaceto Tower, a natural park on the beach of Brindisi, managed by day by volunteers, at night became the beach preferred by traffickers to land and hide drugs from Albania.
The Guardia di Finanza seized 416 kg of hashish in bags hidden at the oasis, along with two Tokarev pistols and ammunition from former Soviet arsenals.
