VLORA, Dec. 12 -Egyptian sailors being detained on the Bolivian-registered ship, Bancar, attacked Albanian policemen as they attempted to flee the ship. The Bancar has been detained in the southwestern port of Vlora since last month. The ship was not allowed to leave Albania while authorities are investigating an illegal shipment of iron material it had brought from Turkey. Policemen went to the ship to remove two sailors who had claimed to have been ill. In fact, all of the sailors tried to flee when the police boat arrived. Reports say the Egyptian sailors physically attacked and slightly injured two of the policemen.
