KAPSHTICA, Dec. 19 – Some 1,000 Albanians were blocked Tuesday at the Kapshtica border crossing with Greece due to their being only one policeman present at the Greek border.
The immigrants, seeking to cross the border in some 300 cars, were returning to Albania for the Christmas and New Year festivities. However, they found only one police box available to check their documents.
Difficulties were compounded by snow and cold weather.
