TIRANA, Dec. 15 – Albania and Austria signed an agreement last week to avoid double taxation on income and capital and also on preventing individuals and businesses from avoiding paying taxes.
The agreement, signed by Albanian Finance Minister Ridvan Bode and Austrian Ambassador to Tirana, Klaus Derkowitsch, aimed at creating the proper legal context to treat taxation on individuals and businesses from both countries.
The convention comes into power upon ratification by the parliaments of both countries.
