TIRANA, Feb. 18 – Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha met with his Turkish counterpart, Ali Babacan, who pledged his country’s further support to Albania as it pursues its integration efforts to join NATO. Lobbying at the Islamic Conference on Kosova’s recognition was another main topic of discussion during their meeting in Kiev.
Turkey was one of the first countries to recognize Kosova on Monday, just one day after the proclamation of independence.
