Rehabilitation work of Tirana quarter starts

TIRANA, Feb. 25 – A 3 million Euro investment from Cooperazione Italiana will help local authorities to rebuild the Lapraka quarter in northern Tirana.
A ceremony marking the start of the project was held last week with the participation of officials from the Tirana city hall, Transport Ministry and also Italian embassy staff. Work in the Lapraka quarter is part of the Tirana Urban Suburbs project which will rebuild nearly all of the capital’s suburban areas.
The project in Lapraka will repair the water and power supply network, rebuild streets as well as that infrastructure related to them. It will further repair take the library and the cinema. The work will be done by Italian company “F.lli SAVINI” s.r.l and it is expected to be completed in one year.
