KESH and SP at loggerheads about template bills

TIRANA, Feb.26- The Albanian Electro-energy Corporation has reacted today against the claims of SP’s Erion Brace. Head of KESH, Gjergj Bojaxhi has accused Brace of protecting illegal abusers of electricity grids in his electoral zone of Berat. Bojaxhi has called upon Brace to present his complaints about the template bills to the National Energy regulating entity which is the institution that legitimizes such bills. SP member of parliament, Brace has warned to sue KESH over the template bills calling the procedure illegal. Brace called on citizens to protest what he calls the theft of money through the price of energy.

ERE responds to debate for template bills; legal till the end of 2008
The National entity for Energy regulation (ERE) declared today that template bills will be legal until the end of the year 2008. head of ERE, Bujar Nepravishta thus answered the accusations of SP’s Erion Brace saying that ERE has the legal right to set the validity of the procedure according to law Nr.9072, of 2003 and that it has decided to postpone the time for putting this practice of the legal framework for billing energy. “Nepravishta said that a request had been received by ERE from KESH which sought to continue the practice for those families where electricity measuring units have not been implemented yet. Ere said that any claims on this decision should be appealed in court. Nepravishta condemned the calls for refusal of payment of these bills saying that they are illegal and do not serve the purpose of the development of the country.
