Bank of Albania building to get revamped

TIRANA, March 5- The building of BoA will have a new outlook while conserving the historical values of the site. The new complex will be build alongside with the rehabilitation of the existing structure and all will be according to approved study for the rehabilitation of the center of Tirana. It will accommodate 400 people and respect the architectural values of the building that dates back to the 30s. The new environment will also assist the bank in its activities especially in the museum of numismatics, the meeting hall with a capacity of 150 people, the archive, the new library, etc. the rehabilitation will include significant improvement in technological safety and services. 17 out of 27 initial studios have presented a project which competed in front of a special jury. The selected winner for the first prize is Prof. Arch. Marco Petreschi, the second prize by “Dini & Architettura Associati s.r.l” and the third prize by “Associazione Professionale Studio Valle Progettazioni”. The winners were allocated respectively, 35.000, 20.000 and 15.000 euro.
