TIRANA, June 5 – Some 40 Greek and Cypriot companies will present their products and services to Albania in an effort to attract more interest from the local businesses in their northern neighbor.
The three-day fair opened Thursday organized from the Chambers of Commerce of both countries and also government and embassy assistance.
The companies that take part in the exhibition provided a variety of products and services ranging from banking, investment, industry, agriculture, tourism and craftsmanship.
“The event has economic values concerning the economic development of the country,” said Albanian business representative Vangjush Saro. One of the goals of the exhibition is to boost up cooperation between local companies and foreign businesses, Saro added.
Organizers have thought of informative workshops and conferences, throughout the three days of the exhibition to update on the latest developments from Albania’s tax and customs systems, the legislation of concessions, and the possibilities of investments in the country.
Greece is Albania’s second trading partner, following Italy.
