Inland Revenue reports on its performance

Tirana, June 3 – Albanian Inland Revenue Service announced its report on taxes collected during the period January – May 2008. According to the report, the Inland Revenue is performing exceptionally well. Tax revenues were 123.7 percent higher than compared to the first five months of 2007. Inland Revenue managed to collect, during this period, ALL 11.2 billion more than during the same period in 2007. Only for May, Inland Revenue collected ALL 490 million more than planned. Compared to May 2007, Inland Revenue succeeded in collecting ALL 2 billion or 21.2 percent more than in May 2007. (Tirana Times Staff)
