KESH to take a 40 million euro loan

TIRANA, Aug 27 – The government has offered its guarantee for a 40 million Euro loan that the Albanian Electro-Energy Corporation, or KESH, is seeking from Raiffeisen Bank Albania. That was the request made by the bank after KESH, which already has some 96 million euro in loans from seven banks, caused Raiffeisen Bank to be concerned about KESH’s ability to repay the loan. KESH has also received some two billion leks and 15 million euro loans from the Finance evaluate the assets of the company. Based on the price of the evaluation, the government will set the minimum price for the sale. (Tirana Times Staff)
