National Bank of Commerce (BKT) has been picked as the safest bank in Albania. JCR Eurasia Rating gave BKT an ‘AAA’ grade and evaluated it to have a stable long-term situation in the whole country, which is the highest level of investment. Meanwhile, JCR has also graded Albania with a ‘BB+’ for the long term perspective and with a ‘B’ for the short term.
JCR Eurasia is the Eurasian branch of the Japan Credit Rating Agency, one of the world’s most prestigious companies in its field. In addition, it is the first time this company does work in Albania. ‘AAA’ is the highest grade that can be given within a local (country) market. In other words, BKT is most credible and financially strong banking institution in Albania. BKT covers 13.4% of the Albanian market with an average annual growth of 40% in the last couple of years, the highest among banks. BKT is expected to keep such rate growth in the upcoming years. JCR-ER evaluates that BKT’s staff, even though young in age, is characterized by considerable and admirable levels of education and training.
