TIRANA, Jan 12 – Police reported that while checking the road between Librazhd and Elbasan they found 4 kg of heroin hidden in two cars.
Police said that they believed the heroin might have been smuggled from Macedonia and into Albania.
Two Albanian citizens were arrested.
In another operation, police discovered a laboratory where the heroin was to have been processed and later distributed into the Albanian drug market. Two other Albanian citizens were detained in the lab.
