TIRANA, Jan 19 – Mitrovica Mayor Bajram Rexhepi visited Tirana Monday where he met with Albanian Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha.
Both officials discussed recent developments in the northern Kosovo town that has seen repeated ethnic confrontations.
Tirana believes that the establishment of the European mission EULEX throughout Kosova, especially in northern Mitrovica with its ethnic Serb minority, is a precondition to prevent any escalation of inter-ethnic violence.
