GJIROKASTRA, March 30 – Police arrested two persons who were allegedly trying to transport some 50 kilograms of marijuana to neighboring Greece.
Police arrested Izet Bocka while he was transporting the marijuana in two bags trying to cross Muzina Mountain on foot close to the Greek border. He had allegedly taken the marijuana in the nearby village of Grapsh and was avoiding the main road so as not to meet police. It was later to be transported by another person across the border.
Police also found a Kalashnikov automatic rifle and a pistol in one of the bags.
