VLORA, May 5 – Police started Tuesday a preventive operation against the cannabis sativa during their planting time. It started in the southwestern district of Vlora.
During the first day of the operation police seized 95 kilograms of the drug.
The drugs were discovered in a house in the village of Bashaj, 40 km east of the city. No person was detained for being linked to the capture.
Police, together with local authorities, have started a public awareness campaign against the drug’s cultivation in the whole area.
