Ljubljana, May 13 – Germany donated earlier this week some 739,958 Euros to the Slovenian-run International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF) for demining activities in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the final phase of mine clearance in Albania and Serbia.
Albania’s northeastern area is still covered with land mines set in the ground from Serb forces during the Kosovo war a decade ago.
Some three dozen people have died and more have been injured from them.
