TIRANA, May 26 – Flamur Hida, 29, was arrested in Tirana and is to serve his 12 and a half years of prison for collaborating with Nazmi Avdillari, currently serving life imprisonment to murder Italian national Stefano Rossi in 1998.
In 2002, Hida was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for an armed robbery. While in 2007, he was sentenced to five years and four months of imprisonment for injuring a person. He is also a suspect for a series of other crimes in Tirana over the past decade.
A big cache of weapons was found at the apartment where Hida was hiding. A Scorpion automatic rifle, some pistols, ammunition and other weaponry were found in the apartment.
