Kosova Minister of Security Forces visits Albania

TIRANA, June 1 – Kosova Minister of Security Forces, Fehmi Mujota, made an official visit to Albania where he met with his Albanian counterpart and also the premier and the president.
Mujota expressed Kosova’s desire to join NATO in the future and in this regard asked for the support of Albania.
Albania is the youngest NATO member.
Albanian Defense Minister Gazmend Oketa pledged support in the training of the members of the Kosova Security Forces and offered the full support of the Albanian Defense Academy.
Mujota also met with Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Mujota positively assessed Albania’s achievements in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration and congratulated Berisha for Albania acquiring NATO membership. The Kosovar minister emphasized the need for cooperation between the two countries and especially between Kosova Security Force and the Albanian Defense Ministry.
Berisha highly praised Kosovo’s progress since the declaration of independence, showing it is capable of guaranteeing security for its citizens.
Berisha also expressed his belief that the process of Kosova’s recognition would intensify further.
Mujota in his first official visit to Albania also met with President Bamir Topi.
