Neighbors Rediscovering the Land of the Eagles
As years go by, neighbors are discovering or rediscovering Albania. The quality of the new roads makes travelling easier and Albania has received in 2009 full-front publicity due to its entry in NATO.
Albania is progressively but surely becoming the newest pearl of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. Sand or stone beaches nested in beautiful landscape, outgoing and easygoing people, luxurious settings at affordable prices, an improving infrastructure make today some of Albania’s best pretentions to attractiveness.
Albanians living abroad making a summer homecoming, Albanians from neighboring Kosov롡nd Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), are discovering or rediscovering the country that is known as “the Land of the Eagles”. Their numbers are reported to be increasing.
Besides the pan-Albanian tourism, visitors of other neighboring countries but also from Western Europe are making a new start in the country. Visitors from the FYROM find the Albanian beaches at close distance and of sunny and jovial stance. Visitors from Italy cross the sea in discovery of a land which has long been neglected. Coming a longer way to Albania are reported tourists and visitors from France, Belgium, the Scandinavian countries.
