Catalan writer promotes “Senyoria”

TIRANA, May 13 – Renowned contemporary Catalan writer Jaume Cabr顰romoted on Thursday his first book translated into Albania. His Senyoria book has been translated into Albanian by writer Bashkim Shehu.
In 2004, Cabre’s Senyoria won the Mediterranean prize for the best foreign novel published in France. The book was promoted at the Metropol Theatre in Tirana in a ceremony organized by the Embassy of Spain in Tirana and the Albanian Institute of Dialogue and Communication. The presentation is part of a programme of activities organized by the Spanish Embassy in Albania to promote books that have been translated into Albanian over the past year.
Senyoria has already been translated into eleven languages, including Dutch, French, Portuguese, Hungarian, Greek , Romanian and Norwegian. The book promotion ceremony was attended by Spanish ambassador to Albania Manuel Montobbio, the director of the Institute of Dialogue and Communication Pirro Misha, translator Bashkim Shehu and writer Diana Culi.
