TIRANA, April 11 – As of 30 March 2011, Tirana International Airport (TIA) has brought into service the real-time flight tracking for its passengers. In line with an ever changing world of technology, customers are more and more demanding with many used to having the latest information at hand any time of day.
Therefore, TIA’s new service on its website will now offer the actual status of all of its daily flights. Passengers and waiting friends and relatives will be able to verify for themselves whether a flight has landed, taken off or is delayed. The new service will also host weather information to suit the needs of our visitors.
There is a range of benefits which this new service will provide. It will deliver information that is easy to understand at a glance and that will save time and money. The information will enable travellers and their companions to plan for flight delays and cancellations, creating a positive experience for all.
“TIA is committed to always offering its passengers and customers the best, and each day we are trying to offer better services. Now, real-time and accurate flight tracking, up-to-date arrival and departure information and current air traffic information will increase customer satisfaction especially during periods of difficult weather conditions and peak travel” said Rolf Castro – Vasquez, Chief Operations Officer of Tirana International Airport.
Real-time flight information at TIA is provided by FlightStats, a leading provider of worldwide flight on-time performance information to the global travel and transportation industry. The real-time information can be easily found at the airport’s web page.
