May 18 – The Spanish Embassy in Tirana has announced the opening of the exhibition “Visas for freedom. Spanish diplomats facing Holocaust” that will open on May 26 at the National Museum of History in Tirana. “Visas for freedom”, organized by the Embassy of Spain in collaboration with Casa Sefarad Israel and already exhibited in many countries around Europe, is a tribute to the Spanish diplomats who helped the Jews persecuted by the Nazism during the Second World War. Thanks to their humanitarian effort, thousands of Jewish lives were saved and their freedom was preserved. Their behavior proves that resisting against the injustice and barbarism is always possible. The exhibition will be on display until the 5th of June at the Museum of History in Tirana with free entrance.
