Italian pianist to perform in three concerts

TIRANA, June 16 – Young Italian pianist and violinist Caterina Martina Demetz will be in Tirana next week to perform in three concerts as part of the Italian Cultural Institute’s participation in the Klasik international concert season. The Italian musician’s programme starts in Shkodra on Wednesday, June 22, when she will hold a masterclass for students of the Prenk Jakova music school before giving a concert at the local Migjeni theatre.
On Thursday, June 23, Caterina Martina Demetz will give a concert at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet at 18.30. The 21-year-old pianist will conclude her visit to Albania with a concert at the Bylis Theatre in Fier on Friday, June 24. Her programme includes parts from Bach, Paganini, Chopin, Liszt and Ravel.
The Klasik – International Concert Season is the continuation of “Allegretto Albania” project, initially organized by CIDIM (Italian Committee of Music), Italian Culture Institute, “Syri Blu” Association, Academy of Arts and National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
