Renowned comedian passes away

TIRANA, Sept. 27 – Well-known Albanian comedian Vasillaq Vangjeli passed away on Tuesday at the age of 63 after suffering from diabetes complications.
With a 45-year career as a film actor and comedian, he is best remembered for playing late dictator Enver Hoxha in the “Last Hunt” comedy series in the early 90s.
Paying tribute to the late actor in the Metropol Theatre in Tirana, President Bamir Topi said “today we say farewell to Vasillaq Vangjeli, one of the best theatre and movie actors, an artist with subtle intuition and admirable capacity who belonged to humor but drama as well.”
