TIRANA, Jan. 26 – The paintings of two of the greatest Albanian artists, Lin Delija and Ibrahim Kodra, will be displayed at the National Gallery of Arts (GKA) on the occasion of the jubilee year for the country. In a recent interview with ATA, GKA’s director, Rubens Shima, said that GKA annual calendar will be part of the commemorating events on the 100th independence anniversary, with the exhibition of Delia and Kodra having an important place. The exhibition of Lin Delia, whose works are displayed in Vatican, Rome, Canada, Germany, New York, etc. will come in cooperation with his museum in Italy.
Meanwhile, the exhibition of Ibrahim Kodra will open in cooperation with the Kodra Foundation in Milan, where a group representing GKA will select his best works. According to Shima, another project of the GKA, for the 100 anniversary of independence, includes exhibitions with photos, as a process of the documentation of events before and after the project for the Declarations of Independence.
