LONDON, Dec. 16 – Some of Albania’s best internationally renowned classical singers and musicians came together in a concert at the Royal College of Music in London, promoting Albanian culture in the UK. The Notes on Albania held on December 16, brought together internationally renowned Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho, Romania-based Albanian soprano Arlinda Morava, UK-based violinist Alda Dizdari and the Alb-Trio band of Albanian musicians also based in London.
The Embassy of Albania in London, which organized the event described it as “a musical journey starring internationally acclaimed soprano Ermonela Jaho and featuring music by Puccini, Verdi, Sarasate & Mendelssohn, as well as classical Albanian songs.”
The concerts was named “Notes on Albania” in order to bring the audience not only the musical sounds virtuously performed by the Albanian artists but also urge the audience take note that Albania is a European country which has the potential, beauty and charm and ability to be such.
