U.S. based Albanian artist to open Pianodrom festival

redi llupaTIRANA, Sept. 11 – U.S-based Albanian pianist Redi Llupa will open the third edition of Pinodrom international festival in Albania.

Llupa, who is pursuing his career in the U.S., will perform in Tirana on Sept. 14 at the opening of the Pianodrom festival after a concert with Japanese conductor Yohei Sato and the symphonic orchestra of the Albanian Radio and Television on Sept. 11.

The third edition of Pianodrom festival scheduled for Sept. 14 to November 23 will bring to Tirana highly acclaimed artists from the U.S., Japan, the U.K., Japan and Germany.

“This year we will have nine concerts with specially created music by renowned composers. The presence of Albanian music in this third edition will be higher at 66 percent which is an optimistic fact for the future of Albanian music,” says Erita Ibrahimi, the festival’s artistic director.
