TIRANA, Nov. 19 – Thirty Albanian artists have come together in the 18th edition of the traditional November exhibition which this year is being featured at the FAB gallery of the University of Art in Tirana.

Sali Shijaku, Vilson Kilica, Gazmend Leka, Kujtim Buza and Zef Shoshi are some of the well-known artists featured in the November exhibition, launched in the early 1990s after the collapse of the country’s communist regime by painters of different generations who share a common interest in painting as a genre and its continuation as a traditional art form in Albania.

“Thirty artists are participating in this exhibition, of whom 10 young artists who are being introduced with two artworks each,” says curator Aleksander Filipi.

Organizers complain they failed to get the support of state institutions even this year and organized the exhibition at their own expense.

The exhibition at the FAB gallery will be open until Nov. 30.
