TIRANA, Aug. 5 – A series of paintings by renowned painter Agron Polovina are being displayed at the Edward Lear gallery of the southern UNESCO World Heritage site of Berat. The cycle of 22 paintings feature landscapes and still life works created by the local painter in several art colonies in various Albanian towns.
“Painter Agron Polovina is a special voice in Albanian art, especially in the genre of landscape. The artist has made full use of the art colonies he has participated in and the fact he has concluded this experience with an exhibition showcases his creative potential, his deep knowledge in this genre of art,” said veteran painter Pashk P쳶athi about the exhibition.
Open since 1994, the gallery named after British author Edward Lear, is one of the eldest and most important galleries in Albania. Its collection reveals the contemporary and traditional works of arts by Albanian and foreign artists.
