Airbus says air traffic growing rapidly in Eastern Europe, including Albania

TIRANA, June 9 – Airbus, last week, said airline traffic is increasing faster in Eastern Europe than in any other region in the world and will continue to grow in the next decade.
Airbus predicts that Poland and 16 other countries in the region, including Albania, will see an annual increase of 6.7 percent in air traffic until 2026, significantly faster than a projected global increase of 4.9 percent.
Airbus predicted that by 2026 some 460 new planes would be needed in Eastern Europe, including Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova.(Tirana Times Staff)
