Albania Confirms Participation Leipzig Book Fair

TIRANA, March 2 – Albania has confirmed its first ever participation in Germany’s Leipzig international book fair scheduled to be held from March 17 to 20. Albania will be represented in the Leipzig fair, Germany’s second biggest, with the Albanian Association of Publishers which will be financially supported by the Culture Ministry.
Speaking after the cooperation agreement with the Association of Publishers, Culture Minister Ferdinand Xhaferaj said Albania’s presence in the fair will be increasing each year, making the country an integral part of big international events in the field of literature and publications.
Petrit Ymeri, the head of the Publishers’ Association, said Albania will be represented in this edition with some of the best contemporary writers such as Luljeta Lleshanaku, Ervin Hatibi, Albana Shala, Ledia Dushi, Agron Tufa.
Leipzig Book Fair 2011 is a significant event in Germany and across Europe for people related to the publishing and media sector. This event will bring together publishers, journalists, readers and writers together from different countries under one roof. The exhibitors at this show will provide information about the latest books, future trends in German-speaking and European markets. Leipzig Book Fair 2011 will provide a facility for the exhibitors to directly interact with the public and trade visitors. This platform will act as a meeting place for sharing ideas, literature and knowledge of different cultures. Visitors of this show will be able to know about the present offers and service in the education sector.
