TIRANA, Sept. 18 – The Albania-China business community is now represented by a Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Attending the launch ceremony of the Albania-China Chamber of Commerce, Prime Minister Edi Rama described its opening on Wednesday as a new station in Albania’s road to sustainable economic development.
“This Chamber will be an important reference point for the protagonists of the country’s economic development and I express my willingness to support all those who want to invest in Albania,” said Rama.
The Chinese Ambassador to Albania Ye Hao said the opening of the chamber would serve as a linking bridge between the Albanian and Chinese business communities.
“Big Chinese companies have shown interest to invest in Albania. The opening of the Albania-China Chamber of Commerce is a good opportunity because of serving as a linking bridge in economic-trade relations,” said the Chinese Ambassador.
China is one of Albania’s top trade partners with trade exchanges on a constant upward trend.
“Our aim is to foster the traditional warm relationship enjoyed by the Albanian and Chinese people throughout the years, as well as to promote cooperation, business development, and to further bridge communication between the two countries in this age of globalization. We are committed in developing trade and investment by assisting individuals, companies, the Albanian and the Chinese public at large, as well as those in the region who are interested in our activities,” says the Chamber on its website.
The CCIAC aims to create mutual opportunities in trade and investment and to strengthen cooperation by organizing networking events, investment forums, trade missions, exhibitions, conferences, specialized activities, communication opportunities as well as studies in the field of trade and industry in both countries. Whilst acknowledging that most successful business corporations have been established under mutual trust garnered through networking and communication, CCIAC will facilitate this important element for those interested subjects.
